O Vale do Para\u00edba e a regi\u00e3o bragantina chegaram a uma popula\u00e7\u00e3o estimada de 3.056.202 habitantes em 2026<\/strong>, segundo dados divulgados pelo Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estat\u00edstica (IBGE) nesta sexta-feira (28).<\/p>

O levantamento considera os 46 munic\u00edpios<\/strong> que integram a regi\u00e3o. Em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com a estimativa de 2025, quando eram contabilizados 3.046.572 moradores, houve crescimento de 0,32%<\/strong>, o equivalente a cerca de 9,6 mil pessoas a mais em um ano.<\/p>

Entre os munic\u00edpios, Caraguatatuba foi o que apresentou o maior crescimento proporcional entre 2025 e 2026<\/strong>, passando de uma popula\u00e7\u00e3o estimada em 142.248 para 143.291 habitantes, alta de 0,73%.<\/p>

Tamb\u00e9m tiveram crescimento acima da m\u00e9dia regional Atibaia<\/strong>, com aumento de 0,60%, e Trememb\u00e9<\/strong>, que registrou alta de 0,58%.<\/p>

S\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 dos Campos continua como cidade mais populosa<\/h3>

Apesar de ser o munic\u00edpio mais populoso da regi\u00e3o, S\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 dos Campos registrou crescimento de 0,29%<\/strong> no per\u00edodo.<\/p>

A cidade passou de uma estimativa de 727.078 habitantes em 2025 para 729.153 moradores em 2026<\/strong>, um acr\u00e9scimo de 2.075 pessoas.<\/p>

O levantamento do IBGE mostra ainda que o crescimento populacional n\u00e3o ocorre de maneira uniforme entre os munic\u00edpios. Enquanto algumas cidades apresentam expans\u00e3o, outras registram estabilidade ou redu\u00e7\u00e3o no n\u00famero estimado de moradores.<\/p>

Regi\u00e3o ultrapassa 3 milh\u00f5es de habitantes<\/h3>

Com mais de 3 milh\u00f5es de moradores<\/strong>, o conjunto formado pelo Vale do Para\u00edba e pela regi\u00e3o bragantina representa uma das \u00e1reas mais populosas e economicamente importantes do interior paulista.<\/p>

Os n\u00fameros divulgados pelo IBGE servem de refer\u00eancia para o planejamento de pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas e para a defini\u00e7\u00e3o de recursos destinados aos munic\u00edpios, al\u00e9m de oferecerem um retrato atualizado da evolu\u00e7\u00e3o demogr\u00e1fica regional.<\/p>
